Whether you're starting fresh, replacing a tired surface, or restoring an heirloom slab — every project runs through the same in-house craft process. One team, six disciplines, no subcontracted hands.
Templated, fabricated and installed to land the same day cabinets are set. Most kitchens finished start-to-finish in a single day so you can use the sink by dinner.
Tear-out, slab swap, plumbing reconnect, disposal of the old top — all under one roof. Bring your kitchen up to date without rebuilding cabinets or losing a week to construction.
Chip repair, seam re-bonding, etch removal on marble, surface re-honing — the right combination of resin, color matching and hand polish to bring tired surfaces back to dealer-fresh.
Restore luster on granite and quartzite, refresh penetrating sealer on natural stone, apply enhancing sealers that deepen color and bring the slab back to install-day brilliance.
Architectural slab work — staircase treads, shower benches, integrated drainboards, sculpted basins, full-height shower walls. CNC precision and hand-finishing on every piece.
Eased, beveled, ogee, bullnose, mitered waterfall, full-bullnose — six profiles all machine-cut and hand-polished in our shop. The first thing your hand touches deserves the most attention.
Choose the right material
Salt air, UV exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles demand specific material choices. Here's how engineered stone, natural stone, and alternatives stack up in Florida's climate.
| Material | Coastal Safe | Sealer Needed | Fade Risk (sun) | Maintenance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz (engineered) | ✓ Best | Never | None | Wipe clean |
| Porcelain | ✓ Best | Never | None | Wipe clean |
| Quartzite | ✓ Yes | Annual | Low | Reseal yearly |
| Granite | Marginal | Every 18 mo. | Medium | Reseal regularly |
| Marble | ✗ Not recommended | Every 6 mo. | High (2 yrs) | High (etching) |
For Florida coastal homes (within 5 miles of saltwater): We recommend quartz indoors, porcelain outdoors. Both are non-porous, salt-resistant, and require zero sealing. Quartzite works for coastal use if resealed annually. Granite needs marine-grade hardware (316 stainless) and 12-month sealer reapplication to resist salt-air corrosion of hinges and edges.
Materials we fabricate
From engineered quartz to luxury marble, every slab is templated to your exact dimensions and edge profile. Quartz is our most popular for kitchens; porcelain is the Florida-favorite for outdoor kitchens because it shrugs off UV and salt air.

Engineered, non-porous, virtually maintenance-free. Caesarstone, Cambria, Silestone, MSI Q.

Natural stone, heat-resistant, distinctive veining. Sealed for stain resistance.

Luxury veining, classic European look. Best for low-traffic surfaces with conscious care.

Natural stone harder than granite. Marble look with dramatically more durability.

UV-stable, freeze-thaw stable, salt-air resistant. Florida outdoor kitchen favorite.

Non-porous, heat-proof, naturally darkens with age. Charcoal-grey patina niche.

Solid hardwood for warmth and prep zones. Renewable surface, sandable for life.

Ultra-durable, stain-proof, temperature-resistant. Premium engineered option beyond quartz.
Florida-specific challenges
Panama City sits on the Gulf coast. 10+ years of fabricating and installing countertops in salt-air environments taught us which materials survive Florida's climate—and which don't.
Salt spray penetrates up to 5 miles inland, corroding standard hardware within 12 months. Marine-grade 316 stainless on coastal installs + annual sealer reapplication on granite and quartzite.
Direct Gulf sun fades quartz within 2 summers. Porcelain and sealed quartzite hold color indefinitely. For outdoor kitchens, porcelain is non-negotiable. Marble and granite fade in 18–24 months.
Water penetrates porous stone, freezes, expands, and cracks in spring. Quartz and porcelain are immune. Natural stone needs annual sealing and drainage. In North Florida, we default to non-porous.
High-maintenance stone costs more over 10 years than quartz or porcelain. Factor in sealer reapplication every 6–18 months, hardware replacement, edge re-honing. Budget sealing as yearly expense.
Edge profiles
The edge is the first thing your hand touches and the last thing the eye sees. We machine and hand-polish all six profiles in-house — no third-party finishing, no inconsistent sample.
Subtle 1/8″ radius
Crisp 45° cut
Classic S-curve
Full half-round
Mitered 90° drop
Hidden 45° seam
Looking for a profile not listed? We custom-grind any radius on request.
Fabrication precision
Every countertop 8 feet or longer needs at least one seam. The difference between a visible seam and an invisible one is precision—from measurement to finish.
Seam invisibility starts at measurement. We laser-template every cutout, edge, and seam location to 1/16-inch accuracy. This precision ensures slabs fit flush with zero gaps.
Each slab gets color-matched epoxy mixed to ±0.5mm tolerance of the stone's veining pattern. We hand-tint on-site to match granite pigment. Result: the epoxy reads as a natural continuation of stone.
For marble and quartzite, we book-match slabs so veining flows continuously across the seam. The eye follows the vein, not the seam. Results in invisible seams up close.
We finish every seam by hand with diamond pads matching the slab's polish level (honed, polished, leathered). The epoxy catches light exactly like surrounding stone.
Customers run their hand across a 12-foot island and can't locate the seam by touch. Visually, the seam disappears into the stone's pattern. This is why we offer a seam invisibility guarantee—if you can see it from 12 inches away in normal light, we'll re-work it at no cost.
Our story
Pro Build Countertop Company has fabricated and installed countertops across Florida for over 10 years. We started as a family-owned shop in Panama City and grew by saying yes to the harder jobs — outdoor kitchens facing the Gulf, coastal homes with salt-air exposure, and full-house remodels where the countertop has to land on the day the cabinets go in.
Today our crews template, fabricate in-house, and install across the state. The same person who measures your kitchen will be there when the slab goes in. One project, one team, one warranty.

Customer stories
Templated on Tuesday, installed on Friday. The seam in my 12-foot island is invisible — I can't even feel it with my hand. The whole crew was respectful and clean.
We picked porcelain for the outdoor kitchen and quartzite inside. Two completely different materials, same crew, perfect coordination. Florida sun hasn't faded a thing in two summers.
Got three quotes. Pro Build was the only one who showed up on time, brought slab samples, and put a written estimate in my inbox the next morning. Hired them. No regrets.
